We fund projects that address issues related to gender equality: maternal and child health, gender-based violence, supporting women-led businesses, and ensuring that every woman and girl receives an education. These are just a few examples. Each year, we award at least 12 Featured Grants of $35,000 to $50,000 each.
Community Action Grants provide funding to AAUW branches and AAUW state organizations as well as community-based nonprofits for programs that promote education and equity for women and girls. Since 1972, AAUW has provided support to hundreds of communities across the United States.
