Hi! I'm looking for any legit websites where I can get ww2 and ww1 stuff. Medals, helmets, anything. I heard that many sites like ebay are full of scammers.
Unfortunately for me there are very few military/antique shops near me. I've bought items off of The Collector's Guild and eBay, but those are the only online sites I've used to buy items, as I know it can be risky.
5 Μαρ 2005 · Today I went thru all 39 pages of previous threads in this forum looking for Online Militaria Dealers so that I could save them in my "Favorites" file. I figured what the hell? Make a post with the list to save others the trouble.
I've bought from all these guys and never had a problem (touch wood). Before I buy from a new seller I always do some research, check the forums for thread complaints etc and I also ask the more experienced collectors for their opinions. Like I say, so far so good. Glenn.
31 Οκτ 2021 · Another highly popular channel in the military collectibles world is Militaria Review, which openly calls out fakes that make the rounds at antique shows and online auctions.
What sellers online are actually reputable. Baystate militaria, military antiques Toronto, regimentals, waterloo militaria, canadian soldier militaria... Also, always do your own research, and learn as much as you can about the items you are interested in.
Before getting into better opportunities I bought a piece from there and it was legit. His prices are high, but I’ve never seen anyone call him out for carrying fake stuff. The owner is actually pretty active on some militaria forums. I occasionally still cruise through his site as he does get some quite interesting stuff.... just too much $$$
