SECTION I. The Form of Government. Article 1. The form of government of Greece is that of a parliamentary republic. Popular sovereignty is the foundation of government. All powers derive from the People and exist for the People and the Nation; they shall be exercised as specified by the Constitution. Article 2.
Throughout the past 45 years since its enactment, the Constitution of 1975 has been revised four times.
