The filing fee is used to pay administrative costs for your bankruptcy. The filing fee is also used to pay a bankruptcy trustee for administering and overseeing your case.
In Georgia, you’ll pay $338 for Chapter 7 and $313 for Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings. But don’t panic if you’re really strapped for cash. The court might let you pay in installments or even waive the fee if you’re in dire straits.
If, after having filed a Chapter 13 plan, the debtor files a modified plan, the debtor must serve such modified plan on: (1) The standing trustee; and (2) Any creditor(s) affected by the modification.
