I've tried googling how to download all the maps, and something comes up about changing the target box to -image? However, I am on windows 8 and downloaded the client through steam, and I have no idea how to do the technical stuff.

So copy your shortcut to Guild Wars (don't use your normal shortcut), right-click on it, choose Properties and in the target box add -image so that it looks like. “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe” -image.
