3 Δεκ 2013 · There are basically two ways to make a gunstock using the duplication method — the semi-inlet and the one-to-one inlet. A semi-inlet stock is made from a chosen pattern, suited to fit a particular rifle's action, magazine and floorplate.
8 Φεβ 2021 · For a semi-inlet stock, use inletting black to provide an optical indication of where the action meets the wood. By meticulously shaving off the excess wood until the inletting black covers all of your stock’s action inlet, you can form a perfect fit for your stock to the action of your gun.
Available with either a 99% "Press-Fit" Inlet which means that the action will bolt to the stock with little to no handwork involved, or a 96% "Semi" Inlet which will require some wood removal and handwork to fit the action and barrel.
