1 Αυγ 2024 · Among men the comparison of 1.01 years shorter life expectancy across sextiles of looks compares to a difference of 6.17 years across sextiles of household income. While attractiveness clearly affect longevity less than income, these are still non-trivial differences.

1 Ιαν 2011 · The various measures of life span discussed so far are to be distinguished from life expectancy at birth, which, as we have seen, represents the average years of life remaining for a child born in a given year for a particular population, as indicated by a life table.
Results suggest that later-born cohorts are more involved with friends across midlife and old age (ontogenetic time: 40–85 years) than earlier-born cohorts, with more pronounced differences emerging in later life. About one quarter of these effects were associated with historical increases in education, health, and perceptions of aging.
