When it comes to the appropriate age for halo games, all the Halo series games come with either a Teen (T) or Mature (M) rating. The first Halo game - Combat Evolved, is given a Mature (M) rating for Blood, Gore, and Violence. The same halo games age ratings are given to Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Follow the box ratings. Now Halo is rated T since 343 took over and toned it down but 1-Reach are M. I‘d say ~12 is an appropriate age. It’s rated M due to blood. The ESRB hates blood. In multiplayer there isn’t too much but in the campaign it gets mildly gory especially in close quarters.

So I'd say to buy Halo MCC and start with Halo Reach or Halo CE. The best thing I recommend doing is watch a playthrough of the game on YouTube and see if it's right for your kid. Reply reply
25 Ιαν 2015 · I was told that as soon as a game features a realistic gun action then it is rated 16 - that might be nonsense though. i haven't played it but my sons have and they are under 16. I think they were probably about your son's age when they first played it.
