The magnum is pretty meh, shotgun is meh. I will give halo 3 that it probably has the best level design overall. The lighting still holds up pretty well, and it has good gameplay pacing. I have a lot of fond memories of halo 3, but realize some deficiencies. I never said it was bad though.
Halo 3 emerges you in the Halo universe with its sci-fi plotline and weaponry. Being a hero who defies odd's beyond comprehension is pretty cool. Halo 3 has beautiful visuals and a control scheme that is both natural and easy to master.
