News Briefs are short (~1 page) and report a recent and significant scientific finding. Briefs involving Harvard researchers are preferred. For more information on the writing process and our guidelines for submissions, check out our Fall 2021 Writers Guide and Style Guide.
Submissions may be made through Submittable from October 15 through December 15, 2024. Submissions must be between 15,000 and 30,000 words. Prose manuscripts should be double-spaced, 12 pt font, paginated. Please DO NOT include any personal information (name, mailing address, email) on the submitted materials.
Manuscripts must be paginated and clearly labeled with the author’s name on every page. Please limit your submission to no more than 7,000 words of prose. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but we ask that you notify us if the work is accepted elsewhere.
All submissions must be in English. Manuscript pages should be double-spaced with 1" margins and 12 point font. The Review only publishes manuscripts that have not been previously published in their current form. However, the journal will consider manuscripts that have been circulated on web sites or delivered as lectures.
Harvard Review of Psychiatry accepts manuscript submissions through a submission service on another website. Harvard Review of Psychiatry has specific instructions and guidelines for submitting articles.
