The Lunch Café program provides healthy meals to older adults aged 60+ in 24 local senior centers. Each meal is planned and certified by a dietician to meet daily nutritional needs, based on FDA guidelines. In addition to nutrition, isolation is particularly common among older adults who live alone.
The Brea Senior Center offers free membership to seniors and pre-senior members who reside in Brea and surrounding cities. The center offers an array of activities and programs for all walks of life. Please read the monthly newsletter to stay up to date on all programs.

26 Σεπ 2023 · Meals on Wheels costs can vary depending on the program and the individual’s ability to pay. The cost to produce and deliver meals averages $6.00 – $7.00 per meal. Most programs ask low-income seniors to contribute what they can, with a suggested donation or voluntary contribution of $3.00 per meal being common.
Salads or sandwich options. Cost. Under 60, there is a minimum cost of $10.00 per meal. 60 and older donations are accepted. We suggest a $4.50 - $8.00 range. SNAP Benefits are also accepted.
19 Ιουν 2020 · As you can imagine, preparing and delivering meals to seniors all across the country is expensive. But thanks to the funding from federal, state, and local organizations, as well as plenty of individual donations, Meals on Wheels can still offer meals at no charge to its recipients.
