HighScope and comparison classrooms differed significantly in classroom environment, daily routine, adult-child interaction, and overall quality of implementation, as assessed by the HighScope Program Implementation Profile (a precursor of the PQA; HighScope, 1989) adapted for generic use.
Each KDI is connected to and reinforced by scaffolding strategies to help teachers appropriately support and gently extend children’s learning.
