30 Σεπ 2017 · ddrescue is an open source disk recovery tool. It is capable of copying your damaged digital media (hard disk drives / CDs / DVDs) without getting stuck on the "bad" parts of the media. It will simply replace the "bad" parts with blank space. To install ddrescue, open Terminal and type: MyMBP:~ MyUsername$ brew install ddrescue

2 Μαρ 2021 · Hello, A few days ago, I had an alert that my MacBook Air startup disk was almost full (only around 2 GB left). I have not got around to deleting anything to free up space – but apparently there is now more free space than before (11.66 GB in fact). It looks like my Mac is deleting files by itself.
On your Mac, if you have corrupt files on your disk or your Mac doesn’t start up, use Disk Utility to test and repair your disk.
31 Οκτ 2008 · yes i just inserted the empty dvd and it said space available 8kb....sh... Then you have a defective DVD. When I erase a R/W DVD I get 4.3 GB available. You might look into Toast Platinum. I find the default Leopard burner a tad below par.
