Since 1951, Striker Yacht Corporation has been an industry leader in yacht and shipbuilding in steel and aluminum construction. Striker was the first to produce an all plate vessel in 1956. Other famous builders of the time were steel or wood, Broward, Burger or Feadship to name a few.

25 Απρ 2018 · The Striker 44 was introduced in 1968 as the world’s first all-aluminum production sportfishing boat. The rugged welded hulls gained a reputation for offshore performance, ready to “handle serious seas and still fish hard.”
Striker Yachts was established in 1951 by Jim Smith in Freeport, New York. Initially, the company focused on aluminium sportfishing boats, a novel concept at the time. Striker's aluminium hull designs quickly became renowned for their durability, light weight, and resistance to corrosion.
24 Μαρ 2012 · It’s a 1975 Striker 44, an aluminum-hulled, diesel-powered, offshore fishing machine designed by Tom deGroot and built by Herb Phillips’ Striker Yachts in Europe. Price was around $100,000.
1 Ιουν 2014 · During its lifetime, Striker Yachts launched and sold around 700 aluminum vessels. The 70-foot convertible seen here was among the largest. However the name came to be, the campaign worked and in its heyday the company was building 44-footers at a rate of about one every six weeks.
