11 Ιουν 2023 · There are claims that the Elite oil will damage nitron finishes. I'm happy with the regular Hoppe's stuff, and I like the smell. They did change something years back to reduce it.

Hoppes 9 is the definition of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” saying in the gun oil industry. Hoppes has been around since 1903 and has repeatedly proven its merit on this list. Old faithful!
As the title says I was wondering if there is any specific advantage of using oil and solvent versus CLP Breakfree which is a cleaner and oil all in one. In my experience, Hoppes is a better cleaner than CLP. However, you don't get the benefit of only having to buy one product.
