Purdue University has begun the process of decommissioning Hotseat. Starting January 1, 2025, Hotseat will go into dormancy and will no longer be available for instructional use. Hotseat will stay open to instructors to access materials until May 2025.

This manual refers to radial-piston hydraulic motors from the series: 1.MR/MRE 2.MRD/MRDE with fixed and dual displacement, respectively, in the standard and expanded (E) versions. These motors serve to convert the energy from the working fluid pressure into kinetic energy for the rotating shaft.
The 2/2 directional poppet valves are direct operated, pres-sure compensated cartridge valves. They basically compris-es of screw-in section (4) with valve seat (1), solenoid (5), as well as closing element (3) and compression spring (2).
