We’ve organized the conversation topics into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels to suit your proficiency and help you improve. We’ve selected topics that are straightforward and enjoyable to talk about.
• Rush hour is the time of day—usually in the morning and evening—when traffic is heavy because of people commuting to and from their workplace by bus, by car, by subway, on foot, etc.
Each set of conversations contains six questions on a particular topic. Most topics are suitable for pre-intermediate through intermediate level classes (B1/B2). The topics can be discussed in pairs, small groups or large groups. You should set aside 5-10 minutes for the activity.
In this lesson, you'll learn vocabulary words for some of the most common indoor/outdoor hobbies, as well as phrases for talking about your passions. Today you'll learn how to ask for information, buy a bus/train ticket, and take a taxi. After this lesson, you'll be able to speak confidently when taking public transportation in English!
