Working process of a turbocharged car engine. How a turbine and compressor works? Why is air cooling in an intercooler necessary?
20 Φεβ 2024 · Turbochargers are a type of forced induction system that compresses the air flowing into the car's engine. The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder, and more air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder.
How Does A Turbocharger Work? A turbo is made up of two halves joined together by a shaft. On one side, hot exhaust gases spin the turbine, which is connected to another turbine that draws in air and compresses it into the engine.
How a Turbo System Works. Engine power is proportional to the amount of air and fuel that can get into the cylinders. All things being equal, larger engines flow more air and as such will produce more power.
25 Οκτ 2024 · How It Works. Invented by Alfred Büchi some time around 1905, the modern turbocharger utilizes two "wheels" to compress air. One wheel, the "turbine," sits in a housing that is fed exhaust from the engine. This exhaust spins the turbine. The turbine is connected to the second wheel through a shaft. This second wheel, called the "compressor ...
