While there is no clear rule about the number of times it is acceptable to reread a certain book, the rule of thumb is that no book should be reread any sooner than six months after the last time you’ve read it.

I've noticed that books can sometimes be significantly better (or worse) the second time I read them based on where I'm at in life and my current circumstances or interests. Are there any books that you've read which you enjoyed more the second time you read them?
26 Μαρ 2018 · The main thing to be aware of when reading a book for the second or third time, in my opinion at least, is you can never experience it in the same way as you did the first time. Unfortunately, it is often the books you find profound and moving that you choose to read again.
23 Μαΐ 2020 · Yes, to the interpretations above, there is some benefit to considering that while in a book. Knowing when to give up on one is a skill. However, I also think that some books are good enough once over. I read it, got the story, and probably never need to return to it.
