There are currently three ways to access Air Force email from your home computer (external computer) for those with @us.af.mil email address. If you are having issues with one, please try all three prior to requesting help from your local communications focal point (CFP):
Access your US Air Force Outlook email account securely.
Type webmail in the search. There's a link for accessing email. Use the external OWA link. Use your Authentication certificate and there you go. Another option if the webmail portal doesn't work for you is the VMWare. You can go HERE to pick out which client works for your Operating System.

Some Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) personnel have a need to use their Common Access Cards (CACs) to perform official AF business, to include accessing their official e-mail through Outlook Web Access (OWA) or accessing the AF Portal, AF networks and systems, and DoD Web sites from their personal (or non-GFE) computers.
