The reSTART program offers refurbished computers at discounted prices for Canadian residents who receive social assistance or qualify as low income. These computers help people to access health care, gain education, find jobs, and even start small businesses.
Since 1993, the CFS program provided over 1.6 million refurbished computers to schools across the country and has given more than 7,000 paid internships to young Canadians to allow them to acquire market-relevant skills.
1. Buy a device that meets the minimum device requirements (see Related Links section) and apply for a reimbursement within 6 months of the purchase. Reimbursements can be provided by e-transfer or cheque. 2. Apply for a subsidy online.
