The best ways to get lots of Honor quickly are from the weekly PvP quests, Random Battlegrounds, and Random Epic Battlegrounds. PvP gear is generally the best gear for PvP, but can be somewhat subpar compared to other gear if your class/spec doesn't prioritize Versatility.
You need to do your covenant campaign to unlock soulbinds and craft a legendary item, maybe Korthia up to chapter 3 or 4 to unlock flying in Shadowlands, and then Zereth Mortis to get your free second legendary item.
