15 Δεκ 2020 · PDF files on my desktop are showing the thumbnail of the PDF instead of the icon. I want it to show the Adobe PDF icon instead. How do i fix this? Example explained in the attached.
24 Δεκ 2014 · To change the icon of a application, simply right-click on the icon and select 'Properties'. Go to Shortcut tab > click the Change Icon button > now, choose one of the other available icons or click browse to find the icon you want.
21 Νοε 2015 · How do I change the desktop and task bar icons from PDF icons back to Windows 7 icons? I tried to defrag my computer and the icons changed to PDF icons. I do not know what happened. Try rebuilding your icon cache: 1) Close all programs. 2) Click Start, then type "CMD" (without the quoatation marks) into the Search programs and files window.

Find the PDF file type and click the advanced button at the bottom of the dialog window. Click the "change icon" button and choose your replacement icon.
