Run water through the line to confirm that it flows freely. If water backs up again, repeat the vacuuming.
You can prevent a clogged AC drain by performing routine cleaning. By pouring a ¼ cup of vinegar into your AC’s drain line, you will kill any mold, algae, mildew, and other forms of bacteria or fungi, preventing it from forming a buildup and causing a clog. Repeat this monthly for the best results.

It typically exits your home near the condenser unit outside. The drain line is responsible for carrying away the condensation produced by your AC as it cools your home.
You can do this by pouring plain water down the drain line or using a wet/dry vacuum to suction out the loosened debris and vinegar residue. Repeat this step until the water runs clear from the drain line. Restart the AC System.
