2 Μαΐ 2021 · 1. Faith Receives Power From God “By faith, Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past age…” (vs. 11). God gave Sarah power to conceive a child in her old age. The Bible places special emphasis on the fact that this miracle took place in Sarah. It was “Sarah herself” who received this power.
The answer is that her conception will be from the Holy Spirit, rather than from intercourse (Luke 1:35). The result of that conception will be Jesus, the Messiah and Son of God (Luke 1:32–33). Such news corresponds to Old Testament prophecies.
