28 Φεβ 2022 · Open a Microsoft Word document where the word count doesn't appear on the status bar. Right-click on the status bar and look for a tick mark beside Word Count . A checkmark before Word Count indicates that it is active.
If the word count still isn’t showing up, try using the keyboard shortcut for it. Simply press the “CTRL” and “SHIFT” keys simultaneously while pressing “G”. A “Word Count” dialogue box should open up, displaying the total number of words in your document.
19 Αυγ 2012 · You might consider using Tools> Word Count instead to display the info on an "as needed" basis... and if that need happens to be fairly frequent, assign a keyboard shortcut to the ToolsWordCount command or add it to a Toolbar as a button.
