Teleconverters are most useful if you already have a fast (f/2.8) lens to begin with. When you put a 2x teleconverter on a fast, constant aperture f/4 70-210 zoom you wind up with a useless f/8 lens.
10 Αυγ 2020 · I'm looking forward to buy the Nikon AF MICRO-NIKKOR 55mm f / 2.8 for product photography mainly, but I have read the Ken Rockwell review and he said that it is a super sharp lens and have fast focus, which leads me to imagine it being used also for portraits, street and general use.
17 Φεβ 2012 · Ken Rockwell is not consistent nor reliable. some of his gear reviews are good and most of the facts are correct, but his shooting advice and methods are often wrong or just very heavily biased. His style is to present HIS approach to things, discounting and dismissing any other approach to photography.
