12 Δεκ 2022 · Please make sure other users don't have other permissions. If a user both has the Read permission and View permission to this workbook, then the user can edit the file. To check the permission for the file, you can go to SharePoint, select the file, click three points> Manage access> Advanced> Check Permissions.

When the file opens in the Excel desktop app, you may see a yellow bar which says the file is in Protected View. Select the Enable Editing button if that's the case. Select Share in the upper-right corner.
Select Share on the ribbon. Or, select File > Share. Note: If your file is not already saved to OneDrive, you'll be prompted to upload your file to OneDrive to share it. Select who you want to share with from the drop-down, or enter a name or email address. Add a message (optional) and select Send.
