7 Αυγ 2017 · #1. I bought a howa 1500 in a krg bravo chassis in 6.5 creedmoor last Thanksgiving and I think my hopes were just too high. I have a gen 2 ruger precision in 308 and at 100 yards I can easily shoot .5 to 1 moa with it. It shoots factory ammo well even, match grade or not.
28 Απρ 2020 · The 115-grain HAP bullets measure 0.355 inch in diameter and the 125-grain HAP measures 0.356-inch. Presumably that extra 0.001 inch diameter or subtle differences in the nose shape make a big difference for the Kart barrel. Loading bullets deeper with the same powder charge increases pressure.

These were originally offered in 308 Winchester as a short action, and 30-06 as a long action. Currently, Howa offers three different action sizes: the mini action, short action, and long action.

Hey all, I'm in the market for my first rifle as I mentioned in another thread, and I'm tossing up between a Howa 1500 in an MDT XRS or getting a Tikka T3 in the cheapest stock variant possible and then upgrading the stock to an XRS or ESS. I'm wondering what's more accurate between the 2 rifles?
15 Δεκ 2020 · A Howa 1500 rifle is a great budget long-range precision rifle. With the right caliber, barrel profile, chassis, and scope selection, you will be able to achieve sub MOA performance, which is more than accurate enough to compete in most precision rifle shooting matches.

I use the standard Howa 1500 with sporting barrel, .243 W, stainless, and had it for some 10 years, its main use is deer and fox, and it does the job just fine, I see no need to replace it or upgrade.
