10 Δεκ 2021 · I have a working HP Z840. I went to install some new RAM and now I am getting no start and 5 beeps. After pulling the RAM I have 4 sticks of 8GB 1Rx8 PC4-2400T-RD1-11 and 12 sticks of 8GB 1Rx4 PC4-2133P-RC0-10.

2 Ιουν 2022 · I am experiencing a continuous beeping sound from my HP Z840 workstation. it seems a bit unusual because i did not perform any unfamiliar activity on the workstation to warrant the beeping sound. The beeping is almost slow and continuous.

Now, I can't even see a screen, bios post or anything, just the beeps. I tried resetting the CMOS with the button (reseating the graphics card, unplugging power cord, pressing for 5 sec, and replugging). Also, I have a password on the BIOS, would that affect any recovery procedure?
30 Ιουν 2024 · I've spent most of today trying to fix my bricked HP Z840. I did a firmware udpate as I saw the A.62 version just came out. The updated went through o.k., workstation rebooted a few times as one would expect, then a message (on the white background of the bios template): RAM issues...
