This notice, also known as Form I-797B, confirms that USCIS has received your application and provides information on what to do next.
Form I-797 is sent to immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants to inform them that their application has been received or approved — which is why it is sometimes called a “receipt notice” or “approval notice.”
USCIS issues I-797 form, also known as a Notice of Action, to applicants to communicate information about the immigration status or benefit.
