Instead of running an entire Windows operating system in a virtual machine, ies4linux lets you use wine to quickly install and use specific versions of Internet Explorer. Follow the steps below to install Internet Explorer on your Linux system.

IEs4Linux is a simpler way to run IE on Linux. Besides IE6, it also supports IE 5.5 and IE5! IEs4Linux setup Wine and cabextract are required to be installed first(installation help). Then, download IEs4Linux and extract it. Open a terminal and run the “ies4linux” executable. Follow the instructions and you’re done.
19 Μαΐ 2011 · You can try ies4linux. Beware though that they may not work as expected. In my personal experience, I had some problems using it. The best way to test how websites behave in these browsers is using a virtual machine with windows and IE's installed. Share.
