Igbo calendar. The Igbo natural calendar starts around September; this calendar was designed to follow the natural and geographic circles respecting seasons and natural phenomenon experienced within a given location.
The Igbo Calendar is different from the Gregorian Calendar, as it is unique and adapted to Odinala na Omenala – the culture, beliefs, and spirituality of the Igbo people. The Igbo Calendar comprises four market days, namely Èké, Óriè, Àfọ̀, Nkwọ. These four market days make up the Igbo week – Izu.
