We enjoyed our afternoon in Abilene visiting Eisenhower’s museum, library, and boyhood home. He and his wife are also buried in a chapel on the grounds. Stop in the visitor’s center first to get tickets, browse the gift shop, and watch a short video about his life.
Visit the all-new exhibits at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home and experience Ike and Mamie’s story in their own words.
The museum includes Eisenhower's boyhood home, where he lived from 1898 until being appointed to West Point in 1911, [1] and is also the president's final resting place. It is one of the thirteen presidential libraries under the auspices of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
Tickets are required for the Museum and Boyhood Home. Tickets are not required to explore the campus grounds, library exhibits, or Place of Meditation. Museum tickets may be purchased online in advance or in person upon arrival.
