Everywhere I look online says if there's a blank placeholder or the broken image sign they might not be in the myspace servers anymore. Every site, same explanation. This seems off to me, along with the lack of mentioning that we didn't load photos directly.

Under each album it has a message that says "Photos migrated from classic Myspace on 03/02/2014 03:22:54 AM" so they should be there right? When I click on the pictures it just shows that they're loading but never do.
You might want to recover your old photos once you have access to your Myspace account. First, make sure your profile is synced with the new Myspace platform. You can find your old pictures on the “Mixes” page if it is.
