Explore our parks, greenspaces, trails, and recreation opportunities to plan your next adventure! Parks For Everyone Indy Parks and Recreation offers 216 parks, 130 playgrounds, and 53 miles of trails.
The park features eight diamonds with artificial turf infields and natural grass outfields, making it a prime location for baseball and softball games. You’ll also find a multi-use sports field with a cricket pitch at the Greenwood Sports Park.
Indy Parks outdoor pools and splash pads are now closed for the season. The following indoor pools are currently open: Indy Island: 8575 E Raymond St. Krannert Park: 605 S High School Rd. Thatcher Park: 4649 W Vermont St.
Greenwood’s Freedom Festival draws more than 50,000 people to Craig Park every summer to celebrate the American Spirit with Indiana’s best fireworks show. The fun begins at 4 pm with the very popular Festival Parade, followed by live music on the event lawn stage from 5:30-10 pm.
Greenwood has a new state-of-the-art aquatics facility featuring a lazy river, lap pool, zero-depth entry pool, kids’ play zone, slides, and more! You will find everything you need for a SPLASHtacular family time.
There are currently over 400 acres dedicated to 18 parks located in Greenwood. With trails, playgrounds (including two renovated in 2020), basketball courts, pickleball courts, tennis courts, and picnic areas, your family will find something for everyone to do.
