Globally, some 35 million people are estimated to suffer from drug use disorders and who require treatment services, according to the latest World Drug Report, released today by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The booklet provides a global overview of the extent of and trends in drug use, including drug use disorders, and its health consequences. Using the latest estimates as a basis, the booklet reviews the general situation and trends in the use of each drug type in the main consumer markets at the subregional level.
