Founded in 1967, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago champions the new and unexpected in contemporary art and culture through its exhibitions, performances, programs, and collection.
The museum’s north and south gardens are also free to the public at all times. The Museum of Contemporary Art is free for Illinois residents on Tuesdays, as is the Loyola University Museum of Art, which is located next door to The Clare. Seniors get a $2 discount (paying $6 rather than $8) at Loyola’s museum the rest of the week.
