22 Ιουν 2024 · Shuttle run tests usually involve continuous running back and forth between two line markers at a certain pace, and vary in degrees of intensity, duration, and distance. A shuttle run test can be short and quick or slow and longer. They are designed to evaluate an athlete's speed and agility.
1 Νοε 2004 · The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the interval shuttle run test (ISRT) and maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) in soccer players.
Within a 2-week period, 17 intermittent sport players (i.e., 10 men and 7 women) performed the ISRT twice in a sports hall under well-standardized conditions. Heart rates per speed and total number of runs were assessed as submaximal and maximal performance measures.
1 Μαρ 2024 · The 30-15 IFT consists of 30-second shuttle runs interspersed with 15-second walking recovery periods. The test starting speed is 8 km/h (i.e. first 30-second shuttle run), and this speed increases by 0.5 km/h for every 30-second stage thereafter. So, the running speed at stage 1 is 8 km/h, stage 2 is 8.5 km/h, stage 3 at 9 km/h and so on.
1 Νοε 2004 · The reliability of the interval shuttle run test (ISRT) as a submaximal and maximal field test to measure intermittent endurance capacity was examined. During the ISRT, participants alternately run for 30 seconds and walk for 15 seconds. The running speed is increased from 10 km·h−1 every 90 seconds until exhaustion.
The Interval Shuttle Run Test (ISRT) is a widely used physical test for team sports players. Clubs ranging from amateur to professional levels use this test to get insights into the physical fitness of the players.
