Mock trial is designed to introduce students to our legal system by providing a challenging, academic competition. The program offers students an opportunity for personal growth and achievement, emphasizing the importance of research, presentation and teamwork.

JOHNSTON, Ia. (March 7, 2024) — Johnston will be represented by four teams at the 2024 Iowa High School Mock Trial Tournament, March 28-29 in Des Moines.
13 Νοε 2024 · The team will continue on to the 2023 National High School Mock Trial Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas, where they will represent Iowa in the mock State of Arkansas v. Cumberland homicide case. This is the first Ankeny Mock Trial team to win State, as well as head coach Marcus Miller’s first team to win this honor.

22 Μαΐ 2023 · For the first time in school history, the Ankeny High School mock trial team won the 2023 National High School Mock Trial Competition after defeating New Mexico in the Final Round in Little Rock, AZ. In doing so, they became the fifth team from Iowa to secure the national title, giving Iowa the most wins of any state at the National Competition.
