In April 2015, RMI was renamed Institute of Research Management & Innovation (IRMI). Its duties are extended to initiate new research and innovation activities. IRMI has five divisions which are responsible to manage, monitor and assist in grant applications.

Research Monitoring Unit (RMU) is a part of Research Management Centre (RMC), Office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) that focuses on reporting and monitoring the progress of research. This unit also oversees the application to attend conferences.
Candidates can apply online by visiting the iRMiS RMC website.
