The 3.8 miles flies right by as you're trying to navigate your way through mud, 3.5 ft walls, mud, tires, and mud. The post-race showers were a bit of a mess. I had to wait about 25 min to jump into a freezing cold shower.

The Irvine Lake Mud Run is an approximate +5k course beginning and ending at picturesque Irvine Lake. The course is partially on the road and partially on trails and includes hills, water (no contact with lake anywhere), professionally built obstacles and over a dozen mud pits.

27 Αυγ 2013 · To name a few exercise obstacles: holding a tire overhead while doing lunges around a circle; another is holding using a brick while doing burpees; and holding a bag of sand while doing a lap. These obstacles motivated our “gym rat” friend!
