While “Csus” typically refers to the Csus4 chord, a favorite in the guitarist’s toolkit, there’s another variant that deserves the spotlight: the Csus2. Both chords weave a tapestry of tension and release, but each with its own unique flavor.
Technically, "sus2" doesn't exist, because if you resolve it down, you have a chord without a third (not proper in that tradition), or if you resolve it upward, it's a retardation and not a suspension. In reality, it's the same notes as an inversion of a sus4 chord, so classically it would be interpreted as such.
