Netflix Death Note movie was so damn good! Analysis. Just rewatched it and man, it’s such a good movie. Like a majority of you, I overall disliked it my first time watching it, or the second time. We love the manga/anime so much, it’s nearly perfect and it’s an insult to Americanize it and give us an hour and 40 minutes.
I know I'm gonna get downvoted for saying this, but the answer is that "being bad" and "getting things right" are ultimately subjective. The creative team behind the movie probably just had a different idea of what a good Death Note adaptation looked like compared to the broader Death Note fandom.
