I've yet to try HD Retrovision's Wii cable. Curiosity has the best of me and will eventually get one just to find out for myself. For what it's worth: for a while I used a multi console cable from Monoprice that works just fine (but is a little unwieldly).
4 Νοε 2024 · I have the component cables from either MadCatz or Nintendo, but over the coposite cables, I must say that the quality isn't noticeably different, besides the increased number of jaggies.
It is similar to the Wii2HDMI, except instead of plugging directly into the Wii, it plugs into the component cables coming out of the Wii. It outputs at 480p. These generally have less issues, and while they are a bit more expensive and require extra power, it is definitely worth it.
25 Μαΐ 2007 · Now, my question is, not surpisingly, is there any difference between the official Nintendo Wii HD component cable and the third part component cables (Intec, Penguin United, Monoprice.com, Psyclone) ??
The TV is set to Game mode and 16:9, and the Wii itself is set to 480p and 16:9 (I should probably point out the Wii is an RVL-001 with the RVL-CPU-40 board). I was considering getting the HD Retrovision component cables but wanted to check before I plunk down the money.
