Isamu Uchiumi (内 (うち)海 (うみ)勇 (いさむ), Uchiumi Isamu) is the main protagonist of Jealousy's Book. He is also the younger brother of Senzai Uchiumi, and the youngest son of Akihito Uchiumi and Tamae Uchiumi. Isamu is fairly observant of his surroundings, always questioning everything around him.

Isamu is confused, but runs for his life as the enraged bull monster chases him through a long chase sequence, which has boulders and pillars attempting to stop him. He eventually reaches the end of the cavern and just as all hope seems lost, rocks fall and block Zuboshi from killing Isamu.

Isamu Uchiumi is currently the only character in The Mimic who does not have a last name ending with Masashige. The farmer does not count since he does not reveal or even has a true name. Isamu Uchiumi is also NOT a part of the Masashige bloodline/family and will have a different genealogy.
