It has all of the lore books from in game archived, all the lore entries for equipment in Destiny, and even a timeline section dating back to the beginning of the Destiny universe.
Not really a tool, but a good recommendation for new/returning players, Ishtar Collective has EVERY Lore entry from D1 & D2. Anyone that wants a deep dive into the story can make great use of that site.
For inventory management, I'd recommend The Vault. For team building, the Destiny companion app works wonders. I hope this helps!

This week, we caught up with the Ishtar Collective, who have set up a searchable online encyclopedia of Destiny lore. Acting as virtual historians, they’ve collected a plethora of Destiny lore from Grimoire cards and created a timeline of events.
