19 Σεπ 2023 · My research on the internet led me to attempt the update via iTunes. When I tried this, iTunes attempts to backup the phone but errors out. I should have taken this as the second bad sign. After further research, you can force iTunes to skip the backup.
Put iPhone into DFU mode, open apple version of iTunes. When it says “detected iPhone in restore mode” hold shift, and click restore. Select downloaded ipsw file. If it stIll fails, try to change cables/ports. Check for dust inside iPhone port aswell.

27 Ιαν 2020 · What does error code (10) in itunes mean? I connected my iPhone to iTunes and tried to update iOS from 12.4.1 to the latest 13 and it froze and gave me error code (10). Tried multiple times on different computers, one of which was running catalina and all had the latest itunes, but it always came up with error code (10).
