Both the Jedi Code and the Sith Code have their own pros and cons, but it is clear that the Jedi Code focuses more on the betterment of everyone while the Sith Code is more selfish in nature.
The grey code can either be read as “I’m a jedi but with extra words” or “I am above falling to the dark side because I’m special and I say so.” This particular code seems to skew more towards the former.

The Sith Code is selfish, because it focuses on the self where the Jedi Code focuses on the relationship with the Force. I think that neither is better or worse than the other (Nor inherently light or dark, but I know that's an unpopular opinion) but they focus on different aspects of one's relationship with the Force.
Grey Jedi can’t be a term based on the fact that the Jedi are a specific group based on following the Light Side of the Force. Jedi doesn’t describe all force users, that would be like saying Grey Sith.

First, it was used by Jedi and Sith to describe Force users who walked the line between the light and dark sides of the Force without surrendering to the dark side, and second, it described Jedi who distanced themselves from the Jedi High Council and operated outside the structures of the Jedi Code.
