The Book of Job is the eighteenth book of the Old Testament and hence it is also the eighteenth book of Bible, despite being the first book of the Bible written down. While canonically following Esther, chronologically it takes place some time during Genesis, or shortly afterwards.
Job was the main person in the Book of Job. He lived in the Land of Uz[1] sometime after the Great Flood[2]. He had fourteen sons and six daughters over the course of his life and was the richest man in Mesopotamia or the area east of the Euphrates River[3].
